Abstract

|
A series of experiment was conduced to evaluated the effect of EDTA on radical production by xantine oxidase. Radical production was indirectly measured with the amount of ethylene produced by the reaction of methinal with radicals, using gas
chromatography equipped with headspace sampler.
When xanthine oxidase was added to EDTA, ethylene production increased at alkali and scid solution. In the acid solution, xantine oxidase was reacted by HY and Y4-. As above, Xanthine oxidase complex produced by the reaction of xanthine oxidase
with 3
or 6 ligands.
